The approach

Support begins with
the whole picture.

The joints involved, symptom pattern, diagnosis, age, routines and existing treatment all matter before supportive care is considered.

Worldwide online consultation enquiries are welcomed. The scope of advice, treatment and prescribing depends on clinical suitability, the patient's location and applicable local regulations.

Understanding the concern

Arthritis is a group of joint conditions—not one single diagnosis.

Arthritis describes conditions that affect one or more joints. Osteoarthritis commonly involves gradual change in joint structures, while inflammatory forms such as rheumatoid arthritis involve immune-driven inflammation and need specific medical care.

Because treatment differs by cause, new or persistent joint symptoms are best evaluated rather than assumed to be a particular type of arthritis.

Could this be part of the picture?

Common joint patterns worth discussing

Symptoms can vary from mild and intermittent to persistent. Their pattern, duration and effect on daily life are clinically important.

The Ayurvedic perspective

How Ayurveda traditionally understands joint patterns

Ayurvedic texts describe patterns such as Sandhivata and Amavata, considering qualities of Vata, Agni, Ama, tissue state and the joints involved.

These traditional frameworks can guide an Ayurvedic assessment, but they are not a substitute for identifying osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, gout, infection or injury through appropriate modern evaluation.

Traditional Ayurvedic terminology describes a clinical framework; it should not be read as a guaranteed mechanism, result or replacement for modern diagnosis.

How Dr. Dhyani may help

Thoughtful routines and supportive measures selected around everyday movement, stiffness and individual tolerance.

Daily patterns

Sleep, activity, food patterns, digestion and symptom triggers may be explored as part of the broader picture.

03

Coordinated support

Recommendations are considered alongside diagnosis, prescribed medicines, physiotherapy and specialist advice where relevant.

A considered consultation

What Dr. Dhyani
may consider.

  1. 01

Which joints are affected, how long symptoms have been present and whether there is a confirmed diagnosis.

  2. 02

Patterns of pain, stiffness, swelling, mobility, activity and the effect on everyday life.

  3. 03

Current medicines, investigations, physiotherapy, other health conditions and red-flag symptoms.

  4. 04

Constitution, digestion, sleep, routines and realistic goals for supportive care.

Care, coordinated

Joint symptoms deserve proper evaluation.

A new hot or markedly swollen joint, fever, recent trauma, sudden inability to bear weight, weakness or rapidly worsening symptoms need prompt conventional medical assessment. Do not stop arthritis medicines without the prescribing clinician.

Ayurvedic care may complement appropriate conventional treatment; it does not replace emergency care, prescribed medicines, diagnostic evaluation or necessary specialist review.
