The approach

Support begins with
the whole picture.

The goal is not rapid gain at any cost. It is to understand why weight is low and build a sustainable plan around nourishment, digestion and strength.

Worldwide online consultation enquiries are welcomed. The scope of advice, treatment and prescribing depends on clinical suitability, the patient's location and applicable local regulations.

Understanding the concern

Low weight can have nutritional, digestive, medical or emotional causes.

Some people are naturally lean and well. For others, being underweight, losing weight or struggling to maintain weight can affect energy, muscle, immunity and bone health.

Healthy weight gain aims to improve nourishment and strength gradually. Sudden or unexplained loss needs medical assessment before a diet plan is assumed to be the answer.

Could this be part of the picture?

Signs that deserve a closer look

A trend over time is often more informative than one measurement. The aim is to understand appetite, intake, digestion, activity and possible underlying causes.

The Ayurvedic perspective

Ayurveda on Karshya and nourishment

Ayurveda may consider Karshya, Agni, digestion, absorption, Vata, tissue nourishment and the strength of the individual.

This perspective can guide meal rhythm and supportive routines, but unexplained loss may require blood tests, dietetic input or assessment for digestive, endocrine, infectious or mental-health causes.

Traditional Ayurvedic terminology describes a clinical framework; it should not be read as a guaranteed mechanism, result or replacement for modern diagnosis.

How Dr. Dhyani may help

Classical principles.
Clear modern context.

The exact plan varies by individual. These are areas an appointment may explore—not a standard protocol or promise of outcome.

01

Nourishment

Balanced, energy-dense meals and realistic eating rhythms may be planned around preferences and tolerance.

02

Appetite & digestion

Early fullness, bowel patterns, nausea, reflux and other digestive factors are considered rather than ignored.

03

Strength & review

Progress may be tracked through energy, function, intake and weight trends, with medical coordination when needed.

A considered consultation

What Dr. Dhyani
may consider.

  1. 01

Weight history, recent change and the goal behind seeking support.

  2. 02

Appetite, meal pattern, food access, digestive symptoms and dietary restrictions.

  3. 03

Activity, sleep, stress, menstrual history where relevant and current medicines.

  4. 04

Previous tests, medical diagnoses and whether dietetic or physician review is appropriate.

Care, coordinated

Unexplained weight loss should not be self-treated.

Seek medical care for sudden or ongoing unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting or diarrhoea, difficulty swallowing, blood in stool, fever, severe weakness, dehydration or signs of an eating disorder. Healthy weight gain should not rely mainly on highly processed sugar or fat.

Ayurvedic care may complement appropriate conventional treatment; it does not replace emergency care, prescribed medicines, diagnostic evaluation or necessary specialist review.
